I'm in the UK, and this is - unfortunately - perfectly normal here. It's the horrible old 'build 'em up, tear 'em down' mentality of the press. Others are jealous, and some are just nasty and spiteful. As Morrissey once sang, we hate it when our friends are successful. (I don't personally - but you see the point.)
I think she has a lot of talent. I fail to see why anyone is pathetic enough to give a damn about her size - but being realistic, that's the way the moronic 'celebrity' circuit works. It appears to all be part of the fame game. Sad.

Well possibly it has to do with the fact that she has had such big success so quickly. A lot of actors (and singers too) spend their entire career trying to achieve what she has already achieved in the blink of an eye. It probably makes some of them feel jealous and annoyed.
All she has to do is ignore them and continue working on quality projects and it will go away. As far as people calling her fat, well people are just not used to seeing normal size people on TV very much. TV makes people look bigger than they really are.
I likewise would suggest she ignore that talk as well. People have too high of expectations for celebrity types. They are people too.

I agree, whether that is because of the fact it exceeded off interior the U. S... human beings are used to listening to approximately undesirable places happening someplace else and a large style of purely shrug it off, that is terrible to declare however the the remainder of the international seems faceless to them, unreal. So while some thing like this occurs to somebody well known at abode it feels to them like that is exceeded off to their neighbour. that is tousled and illogical, yet a minimum of extra often than not their hearts are interior the ultimate place. If each physique totally understood the horror that replaced into affecting different areas of the international, they might sense as plenty soreness too.. that is many times the media's fault, and likewise the government's fault, for needing their foreign places coverage to not be "hindered" via public opinion and reining interior the media.. that is not very democratic. movie star hype exists as a distraction from the real international..

I think that they are misquoting and tying to find fault when they are the ones who hyped her up and shot her to superstardom.
However, I am responding to the part when you said she was a size 10. I'm not hating, and Im not saying she is fat....but she is not a size 10...maybe 14-16 which is okay for black women...just had to clear that up.
I like her though!

Dont listen to the gits that bring her down. You go for it and stick up for her because true fans always do. She is not fat at all she is a healthy and beautiful size. I would love to be her size. Dont listen to the haters. They are insecure themselves and take it out on others. I was so glad when she won the oscar. Take that Simon Cowell.

I am pretty sure that the idiots that criticize Jennifer are not bothering her. She is living a great life, one that we can guess she dreamed of forever.
There is always going to be people that can just NOT be happy for others so they say mean, untrue & aweful things.
I believe in "karma"....what comes around always goes around. Live your life, don't worry about Jen & let those bad vibes cure those that need a good dose of bad karma.

Maybe because they are jealous of her. She has beome a Professional singer and actress in such a short time. It usually takes years and years for a normal singer/actress to get to where she is now.
It just takes one person to start a nasty rumour about someone. Then everyone joins in.
I guess it's all part of being famous. All she can do now is prove them wrong. Don't worry, she's a strong girl.

You can NEVER please EVERYONE. Whatever you do, you will always be criticized by other people. Jennifer Hudson is a public figure - and people like that are always subject to criticism, justified or not. So don't be affected by these criticisms. Besides, considering the success she's currently enjoying, Ms. Hudson herself could care less about her critics anyway. So don't sweat it :)

I don't think people are attacking her per se. I think that after her winning the academy award after ONE performance is quite questionable. She hasn't proven her true acting ability and acting range with just ONE part in a movie. If anything, the MPAA (Motion Pictures Association of America) needs to be re-evaluated as to how actors are winning these "prestigious" awards and so quickly, WITHOUT proving their true potential. Look at Sidney Poitier as an example. How long did it take him to win? Dorothy Dandridge, although quite worthy, never won. Thank God Forest Whittaker won and he has proven to be a very versatile and theatrically talented actor. So I really don't think most people are out to attack her. Yes, there are some who have wicked ways and are trying to bring her down but for the most part, I think people are upset at how quickly she won an awards WITHOUT the many years of trained experience as an actor.

I admire her for her perseverance. A lot of people would like to be in her position but for one reason of another didn't get the success that she has achieved. As far as her image, she a average sized American women, but she carries herself well.
