he's been speaking out about global warming to the house and senate for decades. he's been giving that slide show to the public for like fifteen years. his political record is filled with examples of his pro-environmental approach to problems
as far as his own energy usage, i would point out that unlike you or me, when al gore goes home, he has like 15 secret servicemen with him. his house is filled with required security equipment and personnel. he can't simply turn the lights off when he leaves a room.
since most americans need the tv to tell them what to do and think, he was simply following suit. and successfully so. i applaud him

He brought a the issue to the forefront of conversation (at least among the Hollywierd set). Now, you have people as woefully misinformed as Gore, speaking daily to their aquaintences about the evils of Global Warming. Where'd they get their info? From Gore's mockumentary based on faulty science and filled with doctored images. Is the planet warming? Yes. Will it be in a cooling cycle eventually? Yes. (in 10 years or less according to some experts). What will they blame the cooling effect on? Refrigerators? Air Conditioning?

judging from the size of him on the news this morning, hes providing a valuable service to global warming...providing shade to at least 3 sun drenched regions in africa...doesnt look like hes missed any meals lately...or even eaten too many veges for that matter...
