In many countries, yes. Ghana, Senegal, Cameroon, E.Guinea. Even Ethiopia is fine The Western media just picks the worst countries in the worst situations to show them as Africa. It is like picking El Salvador during the civil war and saying that is how America is. Africa is a big and diverse continent. S. Africa is just like the US.

But on the second thought, thank you, media. This way I will have less competition when I go and live there and fewer rude tourists around. Most of them will be in overpriced and unfriendly Hawaii.

Depends what part. If I chose to ´live´ anywhere, I would have to be in or near a big city with everything, I´ll want it to be exotic, I´d want it to be safe, I´d want to be in an area with the least political tensions. A place where people feel safe to raise their kids. There are plenty of places like that in Africa. Unfortunately those places don´t usually make it to the movies like Blood Diamond or anything. Meaning, most people (regardless of what they answer) would be thinking ¨H E double HOCKEYSTICKS NO¨ when hearing a question like that. Like if I asked who wants to move to Baghdad (I KNOW nobody is going to say yes, much less mean yes...bad example but it´s true); people will automatically freak out when hearing something like that. And also you said AFrica (would I be wrong to guess you mean south Africa?). I guess if I had a greeeeeeeat job, good money, good comfort of life, and my wife with me, I would go...I just don´t want to run into the middle of a civil war (I said it, everyBODY else was just thinking it). That´s all I mean. If it looks like I´m in the middle of the Lion King and there is peace, then sure...who am I to turn down a residency in a fine place.

It depends on what part. Some parts of Africa are just as modern as anywhere else. I would love to visit parts of South Africa, but it would be a real culture shock to live there full time.

No. I don't belong there. Plus crime and AIDS is everywhere, not really a nice feature. Also the economies are very weak in comparison to the pound and dollar so everything would be expensive.
