I am home sick from work today.....
Something upstairs makes this noise like a police whistle! Maybe every hour or so - it's real loud. One of my kids toys, probably. It's driving me crazy I can't find it.
Ever go through something like this?
Oh by the way I am posting in Marriage and Divorce simply cause I know so many people here.

LOL! Yes, if you have school aged kids, its probably a toy...we have gone through that ourselves a times....it will drive you crazy! : )

Lucky for you it's upstairs.. I had that happen to me once.. one of my kids toys , under my bed.. a talking Bugs Bunny.. so every once in a while I would hear.. what's up doc ... the worst part was I was bed ridden with a bad back and I was home alone ..suffice to say.later on that evening ...that bunny never spoke again :)

Yes, my refrigerator. The compressor is going bad. I've had it fixed several times. It will be real quiet in the house and then all of a sudden, BAM! Scares me to death almost everytime. It has scared other people that were in the house as well.

Go through the toy box and punch each one as hard as you can. That will teach the toy to messup your day off.
As far as noises in the house...I once had a rat chewing away at the walls...that sucked. I think I also had a ghost bugging me once.

my house is about 100 years old it makes noises all night long from the basement to the stairs creek on there own

Ive got a squirrell that keeps breaking into my attic and then goes ballistic everynight when he cant find his way out. Creeps me and the cats out.

could b the battery in ur smoke detector if u know it goes off every hour why not go up there and locate the sound and i hope its not a carbon monoxide detector it could explain why ur sick
