Dilemma, Give it a read, its classic!!!?

Question

You are driving down the road in your car on a wild, stormy night,
when you pass by a bus stop and you see three people waiting for the bus:

1. An old lady who looks as if she is about to die.
2. An old friend who once saved your life.
3. The perfect partner you have been dreaming about.

Which one would you choose to offer a ride to, knowing that there could only be one passenger in your car?

This is a moral/ethical dilemma that was once actually used as part of a job application. You could pick up the old lady, because she is going to die, and thus you should save her first. Or you could take the old friend because he once saved your life, and this would be the perfect chance to pay him back. However, you may never be able to find your perfect mate again.

Hmmm what would you do?

I'd pick the perfect partner, because those are hard to come by. I don't care for strangers as much and I can always do other nice things for my friend.

I've always found these scenarios silly - however:

First of all doubtful anybodies life is threatened just because it's a wild stormy night - the bus will probably still come - lol - even if it doesn't - they'll find shelter - but?

The old lady is gonna die anyway - my old friend saved my life - so I'd offer to him or her (I don't see this as I'm saving their life though - again, don't see this as a life threatening situation) and they will probably tell me to take the old lady anyway. lol (and I would)

I'm not picking up some stranger just because he looks like someone I dreamed about - lol. They're on their own - if it's meant to be I'll see him again - OR I'll just drop off the ol lady and come back to see if the bus came. If not I'll take one of those two home next - I'll TELL the person who I thought I dreamed about - just that and hand him my phone number if it was that important and tell him to call me later - hahaha!

i would pick the old lady, she has lived a long life and deserves a bit of compassion, the friend would hopefully understand my actions and if they were a true friend, they wouldnt see the need for payback, i would save someones life, galdly and freely if i could, and as for the perfect partner? theres someone for everyone, that special someone is out there, of that i have no doubt, but i also believe you meet them, in the most unlikely place, and they are not what you dream about, they are a complete surprise, and no amount of dreaming prepares you when it happens, when you fall in love, chances of them being, "the guy you dreamed of" are small, but they're perfect for you.
