Blair went to Fettes College, a famous independent boarding school in Edinburgh. He then attended St John's College at Oxford University, where he graduated with a second class degree.

Brown went to Kirkcaldy High School - pretty much a normal comprehensive secondary school. He then attended Edinburgh University where he graduated with first class honours and stayed on to complete his Doctorate.

As far as Blairites and Brownites - if there really are such things - lots of different places.
