I would take the offer. Thome is a great bat but only eligible as a DH so you are limited with him. Alou is not a good fantasy option period...he is an injury risk and his bat has slowed way down and in most leagues he isnt even drafted. in return you get Gonzalez (a nice DH option....300 BA, 20 HR, 85-90 RBI) and Wagner is a top closer. He will get a lot of saves just because the Mets have a good team. Jones may lose his closer job this season to Zumaya but even if he doesnt he is good only for saves (his ERA and K numbers are very average) and Isringhausen is a big risk this year, nobody knows how well he can come back from his injury so your pen is fragile and not outstanding even if both have productive years. Take the solid bat and excellent closer ....think of it as giving up Thome for both, Alou is not someone you can count on in fantasy baseball.

Definitely do this deal!!!
Adrian Gonzalez is primed for a big year and his stats last year weren't bad to begin with.... plus Wagner is an elite closer and considering Todd Jones could lose his job to Zumaya and Izzy seems to get hurt a lot, you could definitely use the extra closer
Thome is good and puts up some nice stats, but he is way too injury prone and only available to use as a DH... Alou is decent too, but he's way over the hill and hasn't played a full season in a while...

It really depends on the rest of your team.
I'd do it as the players you're getting are generally healthier than Thome and Alou. With that, I'd possibly explore similar trades with other teams. See what you can pry from other teams. Wagner is good, on a team that will win games, and that leads to saves.

I'd say that's an ok deal. You get an elite closer, but you give up the best player in the deal in Thome. As much as I like Adrian, it's a severe downgrade.
That said, you have Howard at 1B, so you are set there. And yourr closers could use some serious work, it appears, if Jones is your top man.
So I would say go with the deal. It will work out well for you.

I dunno its half way decent. Depends on how much you need a Closer. I (personally would not do it.) Dont over pay for closers. keep thome. Later on you can trade him if he continues his torrid streak from last year.
(and thome isnt hurt all the time) he had one injury for a long time. (alou is a wash) most leagues hes on the FA list

Sounds like a pretty good trade, but if your instinct is warning you then go with that.
