OK You have your rights and giggling in the head thinking how I would imitate the Preacher is also what I very often indulge in too. The cartoons I drew of my Professors in my Medical college were quite popular and memories of the red faces I caused passing funny comments in the class still make me laugh heartily.
But there many times I felt I should have been serious and more focused. It takes a lot to enrichen our sense of humour too and humour is an important part of our life not the whole of it.

I am a self-avowed smart-aleck. I have a very sarcastic dry nasty sense of humor. It has gotten me into trouble so many times it is monotonous. A lot of people think I am a dreadful person but many think I am hilarious and wonderful. I am not sadistic though.
But I do not find entertainment in laughing at dysfunctional people, except those who have no sense of humor. And ones who are stupid who aren't actually mentally impaired, just dull. If someone isn't interesting to me, I just disregard them.

I'm partly a goth so I made a sarcastic comment once the others thought was funny but the school suspended me for it. In a few more years I'm going to sue them for emotional damage and for racism agaisn't athiests. Something like that would give sweet revenge if I won. Also my kids if I have any will not be going to that school.

don't be funny all the time because as you have experianced it has got you into trouble. try not to be funny all the time because your friends won't take you as seriously. belive me i have the same problem. i am a jokester and everytime i tell the friends something they usually don't belive me which can be really tough. so my advice to you is to start being a little more serious and people with start looking at you in a different perspective.

sad to sad a lot of men don have a sense of humor or they believe it's an affront to their Manhood.
I guess that's why women tend to like QnA more :-)
