I nursed for 6 months, my baby is 15 months now; when I get to close to a really hot stove or when I am ovulating fluid comes out of my breast?

That can happen for a while after you stop nursing. Even today, with my son at 21 months, I had that "filling up" feeling. It's all about hormones and it can take a long time for them to get back to normal. Or they may never do that. Depending on what the fluid looks like, I'd say you're fine. If it's yellow, pus-like, dark in color or bloody, you should see your doctor. Good luck!

Sometimes breast milk can be present for a long time. I think that being on the pill also makes it happen. However sometimes it can also be associated with a hormone problem called prolactin. If you are concerned ask your doctor. When checking the hormone prolactin, it should be checked several times a day as it will fluctuate.

Good Luck

For some women it dries up very quickly and they never leak again. My mother is 57 and hasn't breastfed in 27 years, and she still leaks when she hears a baby cry. It all depends on the woman and her body. It might be genetic, so ask your mom how long it took her.
