I didn't really know what truly inspired me until I moved into my new apartment. It has the most amazing views of Galway Bay and the sun shines into my bedroom every morning (or at least on the mornings that the sun decides to put in an appearance)!!
I've felt more inspired to do creative things since I moved there - so whether it's the view, being in my own space, being content.... that's my inspiration at the moment!

My husband and children first. Nature second. 9/11 third. All the wrongs on OUR country's (USA) part has inspired me to not believe anything the government tells us and has brought my friends and family to the same conclusion. Sad something so horrific had to happen to wake some of us up, even though not much discipline has been handed out, we all are more aware of our corrupt officials. I wish more people who felt this way would band together and put a stop to the absolute power some politicians think they have! Can ya tell this gets under my skin?!!

When I was 13 years old I attended the Inauguration of President Kennedy. That was very inspiring. Poet Robert Frost also read some of his work at the inaugural ceremony that cold day.

A blank slate.
Either a fresh sheet of loose leaf or a new cut of fabric.
Both have so much potential to become anything my mind can imagine.
I see a piece of fabric and just contemplate it for a while before I actually get the scissors out and create what is pictured in my mind.

My younger sister, Eryn, who was more disabilities than one can count on both hands. She’s autistic; she had psychological problems, including hallucinatory things. She’s slow… but she inspires me to no end because she speaks through her art. She’s a fantastic, incredible artist. She looks on the bright side of everything and wants so much to be part of the group, to fit in, to be loved. She takes many things personally, and is so sensitive, but who can blame her? I know she’s capable of so many more things than people give her credit for.
Her artistic perspective is amazing. She’s very much into detail, as well as just fantasy related things. I love her to death, and somehow I wish I could be more like her.

As a mum I will have to say my children, they are the most amazing complex of personalities, the boys are jokers but cause me stress, the girls are caring but clash with each other all the time.
All four love each other, argue with each other, make me sad, make me happy, make me laugh, make me cry and they are all growing into wonderful adults at the same time.
The inspiration of childhood, fantastic.
