Boys do weird things like that. When they feel like they are getting close with someone, they pull away. They get scared of what could come next. Don't let it bother you too much, it will happen to you a ton of times.

guys are just as nervous as we are. especially young ones, we are not given an instruction booklet on how to behave around the opposite sex, so we screw up alot until we feel comfortable. Also was some of his friends around? this could have affected his behavior. Just be cool about it. Don't let it bother you. If something is going to happen it will happen. Be open to anything.

sometimes when a guy likes someone if he talks to them to much when they're not going and he doesn't pick up any hints( you really have to hint very obviously for some guys) he doesn't want to talk to them anymore because he starts to think its a lost cause. Go up to him and make a obvious hint.

i remember worrying about things like that. Guys are weird, im sure he didnt mean to totally ignore you, so i wouldnt worry too much about it. They just dont understand that we love any conversation with them, no matter how short or stupid.
