Matthew Spiller of the Coyotes played in 51 games during the 2003-04 season and didn't score a point. You have a hard time finding players who don't score points play much more than that.

Hundreds and hundreds of them have... but most of them played under 50 games. That said, more than a half dozen scored 0 points in a season and played 40-50 games since the year 2001. I imagine there were a lot more between 1995 and 2000 when scoring was way down. Most players that fall under this category are going to be defensive defensemen and goons. I would not be surprised to find some goon in the 70s without a point in more than 50 games. Also, if you go back far enough, they did not keep track of assists quite the same way as they do now. If you go back before the 1950s, odds are you'll find some people who played every game but were never credited with a point. They played less games and didn't count secondary assists.

How many game minimum are we giving? I'll almost bet there has been at least one or two, and I'm going by the assumption they play like 75% of the games. I would also leave off Goalies, although most of them will get an assist at some point in the season.

There are probably quite a few defenceman that go a whole season without a point but play at least 50 games. Dont know any off the top of my head but yes it is very likely.
