Find your local Teacher training college and apply there, they should be running open days and interviews around now.
You'll need to do the 3 year course as you haven't got a degree, and you'll probably need to do a weeks "Internship" at a local school for the application process.

You can become a Child support assistant in a primary school and take the various courses offered to you which you can take while working either by day release or in the evenings this will eventually lead to you being able to apply for a QTS ( qualified teacher status) degree course which will take between 3 and 1 years depending on the courses you have already picked up. You must now have certain GCSE courses i believe in English maths and science you can take them as you go along at evening classes. The other way is to be an articled teacher which takes a year (After you have the relevant qualifications) this is taken while working in a school .
Or you can take a degree part time and then take the final year to get your QTS.
There are many ways to do this but the bottom line is you will have to take the equivalent of a degree and it will take you at least 3 yrs. The GCSE's etc you need can be taken as you go along good luck.

Oh please!!
My wife is a teacher. She has a first-class honours degree from Bristol University plus she did a year's PGCE course. One of my daughters has 8 GCSEs, 3 A levels and is now on a 3 year university course to become a primary school teacher. This country needs well-trained, well-qualified, numerate and literate people who are dedicated to educating children, not a bunch of well-meaning people who are "good with kids".
If you're serious, go to a college, study for some GCSE's (at the very least in Maths and English) then think hard what you want to do next.
Maybe you'd be better as a Teaching Assistant, but you still need GCSEs.

Be it in the U.S. or anywhere else in the world, a relevant qualification must first be obtained before being able to teach in a proper institution. Currently, there are many different kinds of teaching certificate one can apply for to obtain the necessary qualifications. There is a standard set of procedures which has to be followed before the certification in teaching can be issued
There are different types of teaching certifications available for different teaching purpose. A teaching certification is required for those interested to teach in either an elementary or secondary education. A teaching certification will also be required for people intending to go into specialized area of education such as dealing with early childhood, special education, and technical education. It might not be known to a lot but even substitute teachers are required to be holding a Substitute Teaching Certificate before they will be considered for any positions.
You can find out more from this site :http://teaching.mygeneralknowledge.com/ on getting a teaching degree or the neccesary qualifications.

No offence, but I wouldn't want somebody teaching my kids just cos they are "good with them". My brother is good with kids but I wouldn't let him teach them.
I want somebody who has done lots of training and knows what they are doing, preferably to degree standard and higher.
