I was playing with the current owner, just to check out how it works, but I've sold everything on the bakery and I can't restock.. I have a bunch of food on the sims backpack.. but I can't add to the "display".
Someone help me please?

I can only cook a certain thing that doesn't have on the display. and it doesn't give me more option.

You should be able to restock as long as it's the same type of serving platter. By that I mean if there was cheesecake in there, you have to have cheesecake in your inventory (backpack). Otherwise just go into your sims inventory and place the plate in there manually. It's the same difference except your sim won't gain any restocking experience.

have you downloaded the patch for Open for business - seems to me there was a glitch in the game that had to do with restocking the baking.
I would send you a link but it would seem my internet is acting up today I believe it is thesims2ea.com or eathesims2.com or just yahoo or google the sims 2 and look at the BBS for your answer. Sorry

ummm why locked .....hmmm in case you could desire to make one you place an empty lot(community lot) contained regionally then bypass to the kinfolk whom you opt to private the lot then purchase the lot applying the telephone then as quickly as youve offered it bypass to it then build on it ...... yet then in case you dont opt to construct it and likewise you opt to purchase a waiting made ingesting place enable your sims purchase it
