I can't bealive how stupid some of you are. You cant possibly know anything about football if you seriously think that any college team could beat any NFL team. The Gators couldn't win even if they played 100 times.

Patsfan- Do you not realize that, for the most part, the Raiders were in every game and just as easily could have came out on top if they cared enough. Its not like they ever got blown out 40-0. Oh yeah! and they didnt have to cheat like the F****** Patriots did in the AFC Championship game against the Raiders 00. First of all you know that was a fumble, unless QB's always throw the ball with two hands!
Secondly, the old f***** came out on the field with a snow plow so vinatieri could sink that field goal he shouldn't even have had the chance to kick!

One more detail, Florida wouldn't even move the ball. The Raiders were 3rd in the NFL for least amount of yards given up and they were on defense for over half of all their games.

Simple: People are haters. The Raiders are a team that people either love or hate. The people who love them are die hard fans, the people who hate them are die hard haters and will do anything to try and put them down even come up with ridiculous statements like this. It is simple it is people talking smack and not realizing how idiotic they sound. The Raiders had a horrible season yes, but they were also in a number of games and could have easily won a few of them. People say they arent motivated thats why they would lose, i am sure they could find motivaton to beat a college team. The simple, short, truth of the matter, people are haters who want to try and talk smack and think they are being funny, when they arent.

If you scheduled 100 games between any pro team and any college team, I would pick the pro team 100 times. And you know what? I would probably be wrong two or three times.
Yes, a pro team is always going to be the better team. But I could probably cite a dozen reasons why the college team might win. Here are the most important:
1) In any matchup in any sport, the better team doesn't always win. Like they say, that's why they play the games. There is a reason no NFL team has gone unbeaten in 35 years, and it isn't that all those Super Bowl champions ran into a better team during the regular season.
2) The college team could be better coached and/or better prepared. (There is often a corellation between these two.)
3) A particular college team might have an offense or defense particularly well suited to take on the particular pro team they are playing that day.
But I'm still putting my money on the NFL team every time. And the old Hall of Fame Game isn't really indicative of anything either way, because the college team had minimal practice time together.

Every year this topic always seems to pop up. No matter how bad an NFL team seems to be, there is so much more talent on that team than a #1 rated college team.
The Gators have a lot of talent, don't get me wrong. But how many of their 22 starters will be starting in the NFL? Maybe ten to twelve.
The Raiders, Lions or Texans would have to play even more crappy than usual for that game to even be close.

I agree the Gators aren't even close to being able to beat any NFL team including the Raiders. The Raiders are a professional football team as much as everyone likes to criticize their team they still play at a level very few human beings are capable of playing at. Lets also keep in mind that the Raiders did win two games this year against NFL competition. The Gators play against a completely different level of competition.
How many Gators players will start much less play in the NFL?

It is just people don't understand the team concept and the level of pro players.
They use to have a game where they pitted the college all americans vs. the pros. The All Americans won a couple times but that was ending so they stopped the matchup. Even so that was the All Americans.
A college football team will never have an all american at every position. No matter how good Florida or USC recruit it is not an exact science. The best recruiting team in the country will be lucky to have 4 or 5 pro players and maybe 2 star players. Certainly that is nowhere near good enough to match an NFL team which has all pro players on both sides of the ball.
An NFL team wins everytime.

Well now if they played 100 times, I think Florida could win ONE. The reason? The Raiders SUCK, they were a JOKE. There you had Moss earlier in the season just about calling the people out, although no one got it, by saying hey no one else wants to play why should I.
I just want to add that I assume we are talking about the Raiders from early season. The Raiders who had a dude who ran a Bed and Breakfast running the Offense. Yeah if is fun to make fun of the O-Coordinator being a B&B guy but also it is he had no backround to have the job. You had Moss not trying, you had Porter being disgruntle and you had Brooks as QB. This is the Raiders that most people would say that Florida could compete against. Seriously that Raiders team by the way they were playing should have been downgraded to the Arena league or something, they were maybe a step above College.

This is ridiculous. The Raiders would win 100 times out of 100 because they have all of the best players from teams like Florida...so while Florida has some good players...The entire Oakland team is made up of players that are the best of all the college teams. Just cause they can't compete in the NFL doesn't mean they couldn't COMPLETLY humiliate ANY college team.

Sorry to burst your bubble, but the Faiders are just that bad. I am not sure the the Gators or any other college FB team would actually win, but they would easily embarrass the Croakland team.
Uhm, reality check for ya.
0-27 vs Chargers (would have been worse had they been in sync the whole game)
6-28 vs Ravens (2 games, no TDs)
3-13 vs Broncos (non playoff team)
0-16 vs Seahawks
0-20 vs Rams (non playoff team)
3-23 vs Jets
So, even though the Faders did not get 'blown out' by 40, they did lose 6 of 16 games by a combined score of 12-125.
YES, they were that bad, good defense or not.

NO collage team can beat an NFL team, not even the raiders. Heres the reason. More than half the people on collage teams arn't even good enough to make the NFL, so if the gators are filled with kids that can't even make it to the pros, how can they cover randy moss, he'd own their secondary.

Because people don't realize that a pro team is a team of college allstars. There is no way a college team could ever beat a pro team.
