iam doing a speech about the field in child psychology...
how can i get my audience to be interesting in what i need to say?

i dunno if it sounds lame. but you can try starting off your speech by saying something like 'do you remember the time when you were still a child?' or 'ever thought about what it's like seeing the world move from a child's perspective?' and then you can come up with a scenario that brings the audience back to their childhood period. it's helpful to relate your speech to the audience and try to involve them in it rather than just make it a boring presentation. hope my answer helps.

Humor. Don't ask me how becuase I'm lame. But that usually gets my attention.

lots of visuals and add some humor make eye contact talk with excitement and involve your listeners and have them interact
