Unless they are volunteering their time somewhere you don't know about, they are a waste of a human being. These people usually think they are better than others too. This is what is wrong with America. People who deserve nothing often have the most and are looked up to and admired. It makes me sick. I'm not saying America isn't a great place, but this is an area we could use some improvement. I personally admire the Dad (or mom) working 2 jobs and busting his butt all day so that his wife and kids can have the things they need. I don't think I could be happy being useless. I'm not saying it's wrong to be wealthy, but if you are that fortunate you should share your good fortune by helping others in some way. I'm sorry to disagree with the others, but 2 years isn't a break, it's lazy.

Yes, I've heard of this. Many of the people are worthless, however some of them, after seeing how hard their parents worked are just taking a breather before they really get started. They know there is a lot of pressure and work to be done so enjoying the easy life for a while is just a way to mentally prepare for the upcoming sacrifice. Yes, it is indulgent, but who can blame them for doing it. I certainly would given the opportunity.

we may have had a similar experience. those just graduating from yale or harvard or a prestigious ivy league college are probably spoiled, but most deffinitely not useless. after college, if possible, its fun to take time off. i strongly urge you not to inflate your head simply because they are sitting around enjoying a laid back life. of course there will be those that waste a college degree, however. its hard to find someone from a recognized school that has wasted their diploma.
