I'm applying for nursing school to get my LPN license, I am now studying to take the entrance exam. Can anyone

give me suggestions on what I should focus most of my attention on? I am from Mississippi, and I have been to one year of community college, which is the same one I'm going back to. When there I was on the Dean's List and I also graduated with honors from high school, so I consider myself pretty smart, but I hate to study the wrong things, or not study the right things enough. Any advice anyone? All answers will be greatly appricated!

How wonderful that you would like to become a licensed practical nurse! I have never taken such an entrance examination, however, there may be study books for those taking a preliminary allied health entrance exam. Perhaps you can also contact the nursing program(s) in which you are interested in attending and ask them if there are some resources to help you study and give you an idea of which subjects will be covered and the types of questions that one can expect. you should be proud of yourself, your holding your own and pretty dam smart (my sisters a nurse, so i think all nurses have cast iron stomachs and brass ones; have to be strong for a field like that).

I just took the same exam. I studied the math portion which was mostly algebra. the rest was reading comprehension which I found quite easy. GOOD LUCK!
