We can start by letting the people around us know that we're not comfortable with them using racial slurs. At first I felt like a jerk for saying something to my friends for saying certain words, but then it got to the point, if they said something...they would realize it as soon as it came out of their mouth and then apologize.
A main argument of theirs seems to be "Why can't I use the 'n word' when rappers sing about it and they all call each other that." That's a major factor in ending racism. We can't tell one group of people not to use a certain word and then act like its ok when another group does.
Another way is to teach children that being different is ok. That everyone should be respected and treated as equals. It's a major battle to fight, but just you thinking about how it can be done is a heck of a start!! =)

stop taking the race "baiter's" (those who bait people into racial arguments) seriously. Those would be people like Jesse jacskon, and al sharpton. There are some for all races, but those 2 are the most famous.
In addition, start treating all races the same. There is no such thing as a "black right" or a "white right". As long as racial policies are around, such as "affirmative action" there will be racial tension. Affirmative action denies things, like loans, grants, government contracts to people who are of a certain color (white). In other words, a contractor who is black is allowed to bid on certain government jobs, but a contractor who is white is not. There are no government jobs which have opposite restrictions.
Racism can go in every direction, not just the directions that are "popular". As long as our country does not recognize that skin color, or sex, should not play a role in grants, loans, contracts, etc... there will be racism in our country.

Unfortunately for all of us, racism will forever exist. As long as there is a difference i each individual then there will always be someone out there who will dislike people, and so racism will never be stopped. However, ways we can control it are by enacting stricter laws against racism, educate, and teach unity.

laws, fines might help it stop. but it probaly wont because theirs lots of ignorant bastards who think highly of themselves.
