Depends on the situation. It could be a one time thing, like if you get too drunk somewhere and do something stupid; or an ongoing thing, where you know it's wrong and do it over and over anyway. In the first situation (the one time thing) I believe in second chances, but ONLY if he tells me himself. If I find out from someone else then it's over, no questions asked. It's not stupid to take someone back if you think you can work through the major trust issues and believe the relationship is worth the hard work ahead.

No. It makes you stupid AND what. Do you really expect a lepard to change its spots? Stupid, becauses you took a cheater back and what, do you think you are doing, wasting your precious life on somebody like that!?!
Do something to make yourself more attractive to a person who would be true to you. Suppose Mr/Miss Right should appear in front of you. What is it about you that he/she would find appealing? Make one change at a time and work on being a good person for your future mate. You can do it, and you will find a good person eventually. Keep the Faith.

No it does not make you stupid at all. Once we become adults with adult problems we find that nothing is ever just black and white. There are all different shades of Grey. Sometimes the circumstances of the cheating can be overcome. Not all the time but some people really just make a mistake and realize that.

It would depend on the situation.
Situation 1: my guy goes out with friends. He gets completely wasted and hooks up with a girl he only thinks of as a buddy. He tells me right away and is genuinely sorry it happened and has taken steps to make sure it doesn't happen again. I would give him another chance because if it were me, I would want another chance to make up for me being stupid.
Situation 2: my guy hooks up with a girl and they have an actual on going affair that everybody knows about except me. He doesn't feel sorry about it. If I took him back, you might as well write "dumb butt" on my forehead. I wouldn't take me back if I did this.
Situation 3: my guy is just a dog and hooks up with everything female. Tries to hide it and doesn't feel sorry. See response for Situation 2. I wouldn't take me back if I did this.

If the real issue why they cheated is solved and will remain solved, it is not stupid to take them back. But if you dont know the real reason and fix it if you can then your the dumbest person alive thinking doing the same thing will have different results.

Yes, it makes you stupid and gives them a license to cheat again as they think you'll just forgive them. It doesn't pay to forgive a cheater!

no it doesn't make you stupid. sometimes you have to try and work things out, like if you have kids and he pays all the bills, but he happens to have this one night stand, you can't throw everything away b/c of a one night thing.
if they had a relationship with someone else, like dates and lots of nights together, its time for treatment, like to find out whats going on and if it can be helped, if not then i'd move on. i believe a big majority of people cheat so it would be pointless to leave eveytime someone does it.

It would depend on the circumstances, & how many times they've done it. Was it 1 time? Was it an ongoing affair? Have you been married for several years or dating for a few months?

No it makes you a person who is willing to try to forgive someone that has done you wrong.
Stupid comes from allowing the same person to do you wrong over and over again
