It's tough....I've had so many of these crushing, falling apart feelings for what seems like a really long time now...

For me, I try to reflect and take a birds eye view of the situation. For sure, this hardship will pass...it helps knowing that, this too shall pass...it's still not easy while going thru it but in the back of my mind I do know that this will eventually pass..

...I try and take stock of the good things I have...no matter how much I've felt like giving up, and the moments when I felt like I'd rather die than go on, there is always, always something to be grateful for....taking stock of the little things
I have, and the beautiful things in life that surround me...knowing I'm loved n cared for....

....and also treating myself like I would treat a friend who was going thru rough times....no one is more worthy of love n kindness than ourselves...

these things helps me to keep it together...♥

I also would use duct tape, the greatest invention ever. Which would lead me to think how in the world would I be able to bind my ills and will duct tape really work? What if I combine Scotch tape for extra strength or re-rolling masking tape over to mask the ills and why am I supposing I could do such a thing when it's not such a big deal? With all said and done, I look at myself in the mirror, consider myself an undeclared lunatic, give myself an approving smile and go on.

It's called perseverance, the ability to hang on through difficult times. The ancients had a saying:"This too, shall pass..." so do not give up, just "Grin and bear it".

If you happen to be religious, draw your strenght from your faith in a superior being that's so much larger than all of us. If you're not, you can believe in the tremendous capabilities of the human spirit and strength. You certainly have heard of incidents when a person can lift up a car to free a victim pinned underneath, especially if that victim is a loved one.

We are much stronger and more resilient than we know!

We do not plead to storms, we face them.
This works for me + my 'Never Say Die' & 'Never Give Up Until You Win' attitude.
I am a very stubborn & strong soul so I take all these as a challenge as to who will win eventually . I also believe that our life is shaped by our thoughts & if we surender to adverse circumstances, it just gets harder. On the contrary if we encounter them they do vanish. I also do what turtle has mentioned- giving myself a pat on the shoulder, a hug & a few words of encouragement & appreciation.
I do not tell myself 'this too shall pass' because I know just a pause of time will not affect me so emotionally. Rather I tell myself that I have to win over this situation to know how harder life can be ? So I put in all my effort & target the problem .
Keep & maintain a positive, loving & winning attitude towards life. It helps in keeping the candle burning.

sometimes u have to tie a knot in the rope and just hang on. Life is difficult but once you realize and accept this it becomes less difficult. Make a 2 column list--on one side list the good things in ur life-on the other side list the bad --and see which side is longer. Most of the time the positive outweighs the bad and we need to develop an attitude of graditude--tht helps.

I am 59 years old.
Sometimes keeping it together is hard. But, there is very little choice in the matter, really.
I was a teenager in the 1960s, and I no longer recognize the USA that I grew up in. It's hard sometimes.

Good Luck

By telling yourself " You've gotten this far, just a little more." How are you gonna let something in life beat you up.

Just keep doing the next thing. Don't worry if its right or wrong just keep doing things.

like walking, just one more step - one at a time and don't think too far ahead - just the next step. do that for a while and suddenly there will be less things need doing, your shoulders won't feel so heavy and you will be able to move faster.

The thing is to just keep on keeping on
