They're called senior citizens nowadays. The latest Government projection (Government Actuary 2003b) shows considerable population ageing, as thepopulation of 65 and over is forecast to rise from 9.4 million (16% of the total) in 2002 to 16.6 million (25% of the total), in 2041. With so many people leaving the country and the fact that women become pensioners at 60, it's hard to get anything like an accurate figure. Perhaps around about 10 million at a guess?

They have already changed the female pension age from 60 to 65, this starts in 3 years time. This will take a lot out of pensionable age for 5 years.
Then in 2020 they are putting the age for both male and female up to 67.
Our taxes have doubled since labour came to power 10 years ago but pensions have hardly gone up.
Remember most pensioners have paid in all their lives, they are not getting a handout like some that are on benefits.
I don't know why the govt. say that people are going to get older,in one breath then they say that we will outlive our kids due to obesity. Whats that about.

Why do not you attempt residing on their money, its undemanding to declare what they get, or what they might desire to have, yet plenty don't get it, and so some distance as spending it else the place hazard could be a good element, they have maximum have labored hard all their existence, and what for, little or no. A prisoner gets extra issues and is extra useful of than an OAP, and then each and every thing is given to a lot of those foreigners coming over who do not something different than con us, think of formerly you talk, and leave them on my own

I think your question was serious so those clowns who answer in the way they do must understand they were born and they will die - some a little sooner than us slightly older ones.
