My american boyfriend wants to know if this really works & How much it takes....
Hes made a petition for me (i am dominican) cuz pretty sooon we gonna get married ( we are engaged actually) ... hmm any answers???

There is a load of paperwork, to be completed, and then you will have an interview at the American consulate.
He must be employed, have a residence and be a registered tax payer, social security card ect.
It will take anything from 12 months to 2 years.
I have a friend, who has just gone through the whole process.

I am pretty sure that things in America work the same as in Canada. When I checked with my embassy, they gave me the following suggestion for my wife coming to Canada.
You can visit America on an extended Visitor's Visa while you wait for your citizenship to be approved. To do this, all your boyfriend has to do is sign documents stating that he will take financial responsibility for you. Since you are the "wife", it should be very easy.

it works, but it is only good for 90 days to get married.. about 300 dollars for the visa, you can find info on the internet.www.gov

You need a lawyer who specializes in immigration and naturalization. Also, contact the US consulate in your area and talk to them to see what is required.

things have just gone out of control as far as visa's go,there is a lot of paperwork involved and soul searching.everything just takes time.good luck-----
