Terry Waite was seized by Islamic Jihad from a go-between's house in Lebanon on January 20, 1987. He, himself was a hostage negotiator. He was abducted and held captive by Islamic fundamentalists for 1,763 days.

It was in or near Beirut. I did not know he had also been abducted in the Midwest! I won't go there again.
