Jewel-Osco is now a wholly-owned subsidiary of Albertsons, a grocery store chain that was just acquired by giant SuperValu in June of 2006.

SuperValu's brands include:
Acme, Albertson's, Biggs, Bristol Farms, Cub Foods, Farm Fresh, Hornbachers, Jewel-Osco, Lucky, Save-A-Lot, Scott's Food and Pharmacy (my favorite), Shaw's Star Market, Shop-N-Save, Shopper's Food and Pharmacy, and Sav-On Pharmacy.

Jewel -Osco is now under the leadership of Supervalu. Supervalu used to own Cub's food stores but due to a conflict of interest they can't acquire both food chain. So far this company has brought good ideas to our stores but they need to give us a raise instead of a half a bonus which is taxable.
