I have a site (www.bubblesweb.co.nr) and I'm considering putting up adds and I wanted to know if you were less likely to go to a site that had adds (well more adds that now)???

To me it really doesn't matter. Ads are on every site basicly so i don't pay as much attention to them. but if the ads are continuous pop ups., i go to them less often.. but not dramaticly.

If you need to raise revenue to ensure the continued existence of your site, then you should do so on purely financial reasoning.

Most people surf the web and have a blind spot for the edges (where the ads are) and tend to concentrate on the content in the middle of the page. This means that they are not usually put off by ads, unless they interupt the flow (like pop-ups or layers that pass across the screen).

I don't mind some banners and such, hey, you gotta make money to keep the site up, right? What does annoy me, enough to stay away from a site if I can't addblock them easily are two things: these 'pop-in' ads that cover the text I'm trying to read, and adds with sound. I HATE those! (regular popups are always blocked, I use Firefox with popup blocker activated).

Your site is a commercial one anyway so it'd be a bit weird if you didn't have ads.
