I'm 28 yrs old, and going for a bit of an edgy look. I have seen pics of guys wearing a grey t-shirt w/jeans and a white belt (either cloth or leather), but unfortunately, the pics don't show what color shoes they are wearing. It is said that mens belt and shoe color must match. But it would seem a bit odd for me to wear white sneakers with this type of outfit. Any suggestions? Would black shoes, or boots be ok?

I think white jordans look good with everything, no matter what belt you're wearing.

"Well Clark - looks like you could use a cold one." Eddie from Vacation. Nah just kidding, this trend ,is, hmm, well trendy. So accept that and I would go as casual as possible. Stay away from the white loafers and go with the t-shirt, non - low rise jeans and possibly a killer flip flop. This is definitely - in my mind's eye more of a summer ensemble. White attracts the eye - so be aware - it is not unassuming in a belt. That is why I suggest you wear something other than a low-rise pant. Stay away from powder blue sleeveless t-shirts with "Princess" embroidered in pink sequins or you will attract the eye of the one of those 5 guys. Hey yer 28 though, live a little, the time is ever so nearing that you won't be able to carry this off.

White belt means gay? Someone's an idiot.

It is going to depend on your total outfit. White belt with white shoes can look hot, BUT THEY MUST BE DRESSY SHOES OR at least not athletic. Also good if your shirt, slacks, and jacket are all the same color. Just don't top it with a white hat, that's too much pimp right there. LOL

No. In the 70s, that was known as a 'Full Cleveland' (not a compliment). For an evening wedding, you should wear a white shirt and black shoes and matching belt.

It really depends on what type of jeans you're wearing, if you want that edgy look i'd recommend a pair of black or dark blue skinny jeans. As for shoes i'd say a pair of white or even balck winklepickers, they look great with skinnies and give a great indie/edgy look. Hope I helped =]

If you are doubting it, maybe steer away from it.

Actually, this look is a bit outdated. Even teenagers are now picking on dudes who wear white belts.

But for that "edgy" look that will not look too cheap on a 28 year old, check out http://www.armaniexchange.com

Personally, I like a more classy look (JCrew, Banana Republic) and I am 29 years old.

Guy's who wear white belts are thought to be gay. I would steer clear of white if I were you.
