What was wrong with that little girl on american idol last night that was crying? she has issues!

Supposedly, she went to see a taping of "Are you smarter than a 5th grader?" with tickets that also entitled her to see a dress rehersal of American Idol.
At the dress rehersal, she was so emotional that the producers porposely invited her to see the taping & sit near the front (so the cameras could find her).

Someone on a message board put out the idea that maybe she was a Make a Wish kid, who got to see American Idol. However, if that is true, then they should have made mention of it. I personally think it might have been staged. She did not just cry for Sanjaya. She was blubbering from the start.

Why did audiences full of girls scream and cry when the Beatles and other rock stars performed ?
This girl was crying for joy and happiness at seeing her American Idols perform.
Sanjaya did great and made me shed a tear of happiness too!

I asked the same question. I think it was kind of dumb that they kept showing her and for them not to say what was her deal. If she was special I can understand, but she looked like she would start crying when the camera was on her. I wish they had said something about it. What does it say about the show when everyone is just talking about the little girl who cried?

She was a little star struck girl that needs to take a time out from the TV world. Her parents should bring her feet back to the ground and get her head out of the clouds. It's ok to have a star crush... but you can't let it go too far.

I was wondering the same thing!!!! What was up with her? And why did they keep showing her? I think she was just so excited to be there she just couldn't stop crying.

She was just excited to be there ... that is all ... she a little girl... to young to have issues... you only have issues when you are grown!
