First of all the joints DEFINITELY aren't going to make you feel better. They will make you feel worse.
Who knows it could be a girl. Have you had any abusive relationships in the past? Have you had just plain bad ones that are keeping you away from women?
Try to involve yourself in more activities. Help the community, join a sport maybe, writing workshops, what actually I find works the best is to write in a journal. Whenever you feel like smoking a joint first try writing in a journal see if it makes you feel better.
You are obviously not feeling satisfied. Do you like your job? Is there something you would rather do? Part of healing depression is asking questions to yourself. find out if there is anything you don't like or that's bothering you.
Good luck :)

I really wonder how much of what you are doing is because of others.
I mean, you say you have a 'great' job but is it really a great job because you think so, or is it a great job because that is what someone else made you believe.
The same is true about all the other activities you have listed. You list them as though there were some invisible societal 'list' you have to follow, and following that list, ipso facto, will make you happy; like dropping a suit off at the cleaners and, presto, 24 hours later it is clean.
You can't be happy if you aren't really doing the things that make 'you' happy. Yes, volunteering is good, but volunteering for the sake of volunteering, because of some implied social or religious pressure, defeats the purpose of engaging in the activity. If you are doing it to get some sort of brownie point, instead of because you care about the person you are helping and see your actions as being a benefit to them, undercuts the entire purpose. It's better to give one sandwich out of respect than feed a thousand with indifference.
Obviously, something is not adding up in your life, and thus you are using the joint as a means of making it go away. That's kinda like taking an aspirin to treat a brain tumor. Sure, the pain goes away, but the thing causing the pain isn't being touched.
People turn to 'chemical' happiness when they can't find a 'non-chemical' happiness, and that includes such things as food, drugs, sleep, adreniline rushes, etc. You really need to think/feel about what kind of life would give you the same kind of feeling as taking that joint would. When you understand that, you will see what measure of 'success' you are looking for.

each body receives depressed specifically circumstances. that's a classic emotion. at the same time as it persists and interferes with regularly occurring functioning (artwork, social, and so on), then that's going to develop right into a difficulty. some forms of melancholy are situational, and the answer is oftentimes contemporary in both more suitable coping skills or determining what you want to do to strengthen your situations. depending basically on what you defined, it sounds like you're doing nicely on your occupation yet living in an section that truly sacrifices your social existence. ??? Is that real? Or, are you feeling too all the way down to bypass out the position you're? the answer to those questions likely have some indication as to what that's advisable to consider for the destiny. Dusting off your resume and searching for artwork someplace that appeals to you socially may be an option. If that's that you're too down on your self to locate what's round you and that is been going on for a at the same time as, seeing your record and a therapist may be on your activity. If that's basically hesitation and shyness, see what activities are obtainable. connect a health center, activities team, church, in spite of. provide the position a more beneficial useful chance in case you've not already. in spite of you do, basically status nevertheless likely isn't the finest existence bypass.

Your funny, you smoke pot and wonder why you’re depressed, you need to stop and re-evaluate the drug use and join a gym and work that depression out of yourself or some other exercise. If you need drugs to change your behavior then you have a problem and may need to go to drug rehab, drugs around the world have destroyed thousands of life’s and is about to do the same to you. You can't use drugs to change how you think the drugs do the thinking for you, if you don't believe me then stop the drug usage for a year and see how much change you have in your life, there will be a lot and then you will know the truth...

dont smoke more joints it wont help ultimitly it will make you DEPENDENT. The thing about depression is its a real problem, and its a chemical thing. plently of people have it and have no factors in thier life that would cause them to have it. its common to feel sort of guilty for having nothing wrong in your life yet feeling like your not happy, but it can be changed. ask your doctor if he can proscribe you a medication.. it wont make you happy 24/7 but it may make you more sufficed with your life. good luck

Its just hormones, pot helped me, but I'd never recommend that. I smoked it for about 4 years and it leveled my hormones out. Its been 15 years and Im still fine. I hated antidepressants, they make you feel like a robot and were too strong for me....just my experience.
