When Steve Jobs needed someone to take over at Apple Computers, he approached the President of Pepsi-Cola to take the position. When Jobs so he was having no luck luring him away with a huge salary and big perks, he said, "Do you want to spend the rest of your life selling carbonated sugar water?"
Maybe Liebermem doesn't want to waste his political career in service of a party that has no coherent philosophy. Maybe he wants to be on the right side of history.
Maybe Libermen doesn't want to associate himself with a party whose main supporters are lazy welfare mommas, dumb college kids, againg douche-bag hippies, the clueless and the confused. Maybe he wants to work in the dynamic environment of the Republican party, who is striving to not only improve the world, but make it safe for all.

The Republicans elected him anyhow, he knows that this is the party to join if he wants to continue waging senseless war in the middle east. He always has put the interests of Israel ahead of the interests of the US.

I think America is getting very tired of the two party system where people get a choice betwee bad and worse.
Look for a much larger showing of votes for indipendent and Libertarian candidates in the coming elections.
