Look for an alignment center that uses a "Bee line" rack. They will set the tow and camber. This should take care of the steering wheel being off to the left or right. Be sure to do this ASAP as these types of problems can cause uneven tread wear.
If your car has struts, there is a strut mount that has a bearing at the top. When these bearings go out they fight the driver. If you turn right the car will pull to the right and the steering wheel will be off. If you turn to the left then the car pulls to the left and steering wheel will be off to the left.
Your best bet is to get it in where they specialize in alignments. Your car is too nice to neglect and they are the experts......good luck.

Could it be an alignment issue or a steering column issue?

You are out of alignment, or check the power steering components.

Odds are you are out of alignment, the tire might not be bad although its new some tires are not constructed right. something else might be loose from like your adjusting arm or adjusting sleeve, check your toe, camber and caster readings.

It's quite possible you have a low tire. (pressure)
Double check for propper inflation. 34psi.
