I am getting ready to write a rough draft on "Performance Enhancing Drugs in Sports can be deadly" I have no idea where or how to start this. Do you have any suggestions?

I know you didn't want the extra step, but trust me, it's a time saver and makes the paper flow better--write an outline of the points you will make. How detailed you make the outline is up to you (you can include every argument, or just the basics and organize your note cards under the section you want them in), but you should have an idea of how your argument will progress before you start writing.

Once you did that, you need an opening paragraph--I like to write this first, but writing it last could work too--it's up to you. Start with a stat, quote or other attention grabber. Then put your thesis (in this case, your title plus a couple reasons why), and a segway to the first paragraph. Then go to your outline to write the rest of the paper. Wrap it up with a conclusion, and all you have to do is spell check.

First you might want to list the reasons why you think performance enhancing drugs in sports can be deadly. From there you can do a paragraph on each thing that you list. Make sure that you use some facts to support your reasons and for the conclusion just summarize what you said in the paper.
