I just started Birth Control to try to help my bad cramps. My Doc said to keep taking it unless I get a server reaction. So far I have a slight rash by the corner of my eyes, but it doesn’t itch. Should I call my doc or be concerned in any way?

Oh yeah and I accidentally took it 20 min late yesterday, I’m new to this whole take something everyday at the same time thing (have a bad memory lol). Could that be the cause? Technically it’ll be my fourth day today taking it, but really I’ve only token it for 3 days (since Monday when I got it from my doc she made me take Sunday’s pill together with my Monday pill).

It won't hurt to call your doctor and ask about the rash. Let your doctor decide if it is a concern when you talk to him or her.

20 minutes late is no problem. Depending on the type of pill, you usually have several hours as a window of when to take it. You might want to set an alarm or associate taking the pill with something you usually do at that time to help you remember until it gets to be a habit.

Are There Side Effects Associated HC?
Yes, although the majority are not serious. They include:

Nausea
Weight gain
Sore or swollen breasts
Small amount of blood, or spotting, between periods
Lighter periods
Mood changes
The following side effects, easily remembered by the word "ACHES," are less common but more serious. If you experience any of these, contact your doctor immediately. If you cannot reach your doctor, go to an emergency room or urgent care center for evaluation. These symptoms may indicate a serious disorder, such as liver disease, gallbladder disease, stroke, blood clots, high blood pressure, or heart disease. They include:

Abdominal pain (stomach pain)
Chest pain
Headaches (severe)
Eye problems (blurred vision)
Swelling and/or aching in the legs and thighs

CHECK WITH YOUR DOCTOR JUST TO MAKE SURE! IT'S BETTER TO BE SAFE THAN SORRY..

ALSO

Keep another form of birth control, like spermicidal foam and condoms, on hand in case you forget to take a pill.

Carry your pills with you if you don't always sleep at the same place.

Take your pill at the same time every day. If you are using the patch, replace your patch weekly on the same day. If you are using the vaginal ring, remove it after 3 weeks of use.

Get your HC refills soon after you start the last prescription. Don't wait until the last minute to request refills.

Birth control pills, patches, and vaginal rings are all medications. Always tell your doctor or pharmacist you are on the pill, patch, or vaginal ring if you see him or her for any reason.

i do no longer advise the shot because of the fact i've got heard some no longer so sturdy issues approximately it, people gaining weight, modifications in blood rigidity, etc. I take the tablet which suits for me. i've got no longer extremely heard something with regard to the patch so i won't be able to help you there. be careful approximately finding out on the tablet regardless of the undeniable fact that because of the fact in case you have a tendency to be forgetful that's difficult to you will possibly need to take it around the comparable time on a daily basis. I basically make it area of my recurring and after a whilst I basically remembered each and all of the time.
