i broke my leg almost a year ago, and displaced my ankle, since then my toenails dont grow. it saves time, so it doesn't worry me, but i wondered the cause

Bit of a worry I think, seeing as your hair and nails continue to grow even after you die

I would ask your dr. And it is a myth that your nails and hair continues to grow after you die. That is the skin shrinking and showing more of it. It may be you aren't getting enough nurtients to that part of your body. I would deffenently ask a dr. Make sure you don't have anythign major going on.

I would wonder if the injury has somehow lengthened the foot and the nails rub on the shoe, therefore, rub off the nail????

OR, plainly I would check with the doctor and explain the situation. He/she will give you a proper answer.

r u sure they're not growing? toenails as a rule just grow slower than fingernails.

yes there is a reason for this but what that is I can't remember, go and have a chat with your doctor. Believe me it is worth it.
