some ppl say its inapropreate 4 a child 2 watch anime because it has alot of and profanity. what do yall think?

Some have violence and profanity, some don't. If you want to show kids a Miyazaki movie or even Naruto on Cartoon Network, it's probably fine. Even Cowboy Bebop might be okay for someone who's 13-14 (I was watching R rated movies by then...).
It depends on the maturity of the kid and the anime itself. Not all anime has adult content. And even for some of those that do, like CB, well, it depends on the kid.
I definitely don't think hentai would be appropriate for anyone of that age.

Anime is just cartoons, thats like saying a child can't watch Rugrats, but it just depends what kind of anime you get, the anime your talking about with the profanity is called Hentai, and that is definatly not something for kids, but other then that, stuff like pokemon are completely harmless.

The fact that it is anime is not the issue. The content is the problem. Censor them as you would the movies they watch. What kind of profanity? Curse words that can be used on network television are okay to watch in my house. My kids know they are not good words to use and they don't. Vulgar, sexually explicit words and themes should not be viewed. You don't want your kids to think it is okay to act like that or that everyone acts like that.

I am a great deal older than that. I do not know or care what 'anime' is. Why would anyone want to hear profanity? So, the question is not for any educated person.

If it's not anime porn or an anime that's classed as an adult certificate, then it's okay for them to watch anime.
