When I had my ultrasound to discover the gender during my 2nd pregnancy I was 16 weeks pregnant. The tech said "Hamburger bun split down the middle-it's a girl". You can see something between the legs even if you are having a girl. You will probably have another ultrasound before you deliver, but that won't be until around 35 weeks. You can elect to pay to have a scan done just to determine the gender, or have an amnio if it's that important to you to know ahead.
Congratulations! I know after having twin boys how it feels to really want a girl. You know you will be happy with anything, but you can help wishing for one or the other!

If she said she means a girl, then probably a girl. But no sonogram is 100% accurate. Ultrasounds are pretty accurate, but there is room for error. The only way to know for sure is when you give birth. Good luck.

not true it could be the fact that the sonographer could not get a decent pic, or it could be the fact that he is hiding it(willy) away from u...just because u cant see what it is dont mean nothing. also could be the cord in the way or a number of things. if your that worriedthan go have a 3d or 4d pic u will find out one way or another but the downside is u have 2 pay for this treatment tho... good luck with this

"Nothing" in between the legs is a pretty vague thing to say. I mean either way, boy or girl, the tech doesn't see "nothing". Boys and girls have something between their legs. Even with girls there is still something to see.
I'd say your tech was just lazy or inexpereinced, or couldn't tell either way. But telling you they see "nothing" is pretty poor form. I mean if they just couldn't tell, they just should have said that.

Did they say you were having a girl? I think that you should know that nothing between the legs means a girl! Your kids need to understand that they can't pick the sex of the baby. Don't just assume it's a girl!!

Usually nothing between the legs means its a girl. Your son will get over it.

The only FOR SURE way is to wait until you give birth. It's not really that much longer.
Our ultrasound showed we were having a girl - but it wasn't until I held her in my arms that I believed it!! We have two boys and now our little girl!
Good luck!

it's possible that it's a girl. but the only true way to tell is to give birth and just because the boys WANT a sister, doesn't mean they are going to get one.

honestly i dont trust the docs 100% coz they told my mom when she was having my sis that she was expecting twin boys... in the end it was one girl.. that sucked big time.
well i follow more the hints the body gives for instance take the cravings you should be having round about now... are they for sweet or sour things?
Sweet things are more for boys coz the sour stuff has something that kills the 'male' sperm whereas the sour stuff is for a girl. my aunt was literally living off of lemons when she was having my cousin and she now too loves to eat lemons
