So... My keyboard doesnt have a caps lock light. I have a really bad habit of `not looking at the screen as i type so I FIND MYSELF DOING THIS MIDSENTENCE IF i hit the caps lock by mistake or something.

Is there any way of changing capital letters to lower case in MS Word without having to delet and start over?

Definitely: Highlight the words in caps, click on the format menu and choose "Change Case" and choose "lower case".

using Microsoft Word. I am not sure if this works in other word processing programs or not. Highlight the all caps text you would like to convert to lowercase letters. Next, simply press Shift and the F3 button at the same time.

Highlight the text then click on format then change case and make sure lower case is selected and click on ok
