The storyline is 2 friends (male) name Jake and Jason and they are singers.and they are also detectives, and there friend is getting married, and his fiance says she found him dead, but then scientists find out the body was not him, it was another guy they gave plastic surgery to, to try to look like the groom. The two guys go try to find their friend, and his abductors. The groom owed this guy money, also.

Sounds great! You have to figure out the little details as everyone has said before but i think it would be great....some other romance between other characters? like jason and a girl and/or jake and a girl and they are friends with the other girl and they plot against them because the boys know too much?!?!?! But IN THE END...one of the girls likes one of the boys and also turns out to be a spy also!!! SO MANY TWISTS AND TURNS COULD BE MADE!

Good luck

Maybe identify this "him" a little more. Since this him (the two detectives friend) is not going to be revealed until later, then you can have side stories about him from the detective, his other friends, and his g/f or wife.

You can also make one of the detective have an affair with their friend's g/f or wife to make little cheesier.

By the way, remember to define the motive of the abduction in great detail, and make a very good link between the dead guy and the abducted guy - why do the groom want to look like the abducted guy, or vice versa.

You are looking to write a multiple chapter about this? It does sound like a common detective plot in movies, but you can make a difference by develop each character (like LA Confidential).

here are my suggestions. i think you can work with this.

2 friends (male) named Jake and Jason
(two names starting with J seems a bit tacky. I suggest going with a different name)
they are singers. (how does this factor into the story? do they sing together? are they known for thier singing? you have a lot you need to explore with this, or it seems like it wont add anything to your plotline)
they are also detectives (this is good. are they detectives on the side? or are they singers on the side?)
and there friend is getting married (a mututal friend? are they happy for him?)
and his fiance says she found him dead
but then scientists find out the body was not him, it was another guy they gave plastic surgery to, to try to look like the groom. (who gave the plastic surgery? why would they do this? was this the grooms doing?)

The two guys go try to find their friend, and his abductors. The groom owed this guy money, also. (was the groom in on his own murder? or was he abducted and his abductors were the ones who made this happen? youve got to firgure this all out!)
