I am sick and tired of having to accommodate other people. I am sorry if I sound like a bigot or intolerable but I dont care. This is America! If you're going to move to a country in which majority of the people speak one language at least learn the damn language! It should be apart of the test for all visas & citizenship that you have to read & speak english at a certain level. It isnt safe to have workers in factories that cant read the safety instructions on the equipment or the street signs while driving. I wouldnt move to germany or japan and expect others to learn my language and bend over backwards to accomodate me. In high school we had to have our announcements in 3 different languages! 3!?! This posed a problem because the normal 5 min annoucement took 15 mins of class time and it was annoying. I think we need to stop immigration for awhile and start dealing with internal issues rather than everyone else's.

A lot of the programs ATM machines are made standard. If you go to another country you a likely to see the same thing.

I don't get offened I get fustrated. I pushed Chinese on accident one time. The lady behind me was beeping and yelling at me to hurry up, I finally asked her if she could read any Chinese because I was stuck in the Chinese page. She stopped. I figured it out after a bit. It's also fustrating to have to push one on a touch tone phone for English when I am in a hurry to get something resolved too. But what can you do, when the business is all about money. I would put my stuff in any language to get clients.

I'm not offended, it takes less than a second to do, and the ATM that I use at my bank does not ask me to choose the language.

Maybe you haven't realized that The United States is a multicultural country. This land is populated with immigrants from every single place in this world, so it is not weird to find people who DON'T SPEAK OR UNDERSTAND ANY ENGLISH AT ALL!!! Banks and their ATMs are aware of this situation, and they're interested in facilitating cash to people, whatever language they speak or wherever they come from. My friend, welcome to this world :)
