Right up until the woman's water breaks, unless her doctor has said otherwise. Once a woman's water breaks, intercourse can lead to infection which can cause complications during labor and delivery. Before this point, though, even after she has begun to dilate, sex is perfectly all right.

The baby will be perfectly safe so long as you play a bit on the vanilla side of things. If anything, the motion of your motion will rock him or her to sleep.

Good luck.

Unless the doctor has said not to (like if risk for preterm labor), you can have sex right up until the water breaks. Then it's bad b/c it increases risk of infection, as do tub baths (but onyl after water breaks). Sex will become a difficult acrobatic act towards the end, so some good positions to try at that point are woman on top, side lying (spooning) with entry from behind, doggy, and he sits in chair she sits in his lap facing away. These positions keep pressure off of the belly and keep it out of the way!!!

It was better than normal!! I went right until the end with mine. We figured out some pretty comfortable positions and I never had pain during so I continued. With my last child who was a planned c-section, had sex the night before she was to be born! I think it's all in how your carrying it as well as good positioning to avoid any discomfort or pain. Your body is a great indicator. You'll know if you need to quit.

As long as it's comfortable for you. Woman on top is usually best in the last months or on your side. However if your MD is concerned about semen dilating your cervix because your threatening premature labor then aviod it. Orgasams CAN cause mild contractions but not enough to hurt you. Nipple stimulation can also cause contractions and keep them going if done for a prolonged time. Enjoy yourself while you can because after that baby arrives it's hard to find time for you and your hubby! Good luck and Congrads!

You can have intercourse right through pregnancy, just be careful, no swinging from things ;o)
I've gone right off it though. Since being pregnant my partner and I have had intercourse 3 times and I'm now 33 weeks lol!!!

sex during pregnancy is fine unless you have been adviced against it like if you have had placenta privia. or any major problems. the best position i have found is to lie on your side with your partner behined as it makes your partner do most of the work and does not penetrate to hard but still enjoyable. i would say the worst poss i found was for my partner to be on top as it made me feel uncomfortable. hope this has helped!

You can have sex up to the delivery. But I've head that intercourse can stimulate vaginal contraction, and induce labor. So near the end (of the pregnancy), I'd be more cautious.

You can have intercourse for as long as you like once the position(s) is comfortable for the expecting mom.

Up until your water breaks, unless there is some reason the doctor says not to- like bleeding, history of miscarriage, other high risk pregnancies...
