Public always complain about police is true. This is all because Police is basically a public servant. for example When a owner appoints a person as a servant for his household works and if he is not performing his works properly he will be banged by his owner. Non performance of his work may be due to excess of work pressure, poor salary, no perquisites, insufficient training, 2 person work engaged with 1.

In the same way our Police department is lacking with all the above said , and total work force is located in one area when there is a political meeting for their protection.

Traffic and Police department is formed only for the public. Only the government shoud look after this law and order problem with the police and traffic department. Public is nothing to do in helping out the traffic wardens, special police.

Public always complain because they feel it is right of government and police to protect them. Even in schools or in public meetings, they are not open with a thought of serving the government and helping the police and make them understand. Voting is for MLAs and their well settlelment and places and not for public. Thus, they are misled by the police and government. Hence, they cannot encourage. Even if MITRA like service organisations come, they take only take well earned community people and no common man. How can public believe that common man is protected. One more thing is thatr Home Guards are there and they are never equal to police and their duties and services are somewhat ignored. Home guards now-a-days can be given training of night beat constables and that way recruitment can be encouraged with minimum remuneration. Hope, some public respond this way.

Public is an anonymous entity. Individuals should be encouraged to help the police. For this, the police, must come out attractive programmes for interacting with the public. Of late, the police have turned out to be the most reckless and irresponsible wing of the government. No body wants have to any thing to do with the Police. That is the image of the Indian police forces.

I think we live in a society that likes to complain and groan about what is going wrong with everything, but not a lot of people are willing to stick their necks out and try to make a change for the better. The only people who are willing do to something in law enforcement is the police.

Does Mr.Citizen put on a gun and a badge every day and kiss his kids goodbye at the risk of not coming home at the end of the day, while serving a mostly ungrateful city...?

People who don't do that shouldn't Monday morning quarterback.... So if Mr. Citizen wants to second-guess the police, ask him to try doing the job before he adds his two cents.

Indeed why not? the 'public', the 'consumer' as well as various other profiles of contemporary humans, are coming alive in today's societies and receive the noble call of consciousness to undertake the role of provider of all the good things our public servants including politicians are supposedly elected/hired/payed to do.
