Yes, I absloutely think so. I was raised in the South, in the Bible belt-and unfortunately there are alot of ppl down here from small town that are still closed minded. Racial slurs and steroetypes are prevalent. It is getting MUCH, MUCH better but I think alot of it exists because family keep teaching generations those wrong ideas. Look up some research done but I'm 99% sure that's right.

i think so, i was raised in a small town in iowa where nobody but white people lived until recently-except for a couple of children that were adopted, 2 were african american and one was oriental-in the last few years an entire black family has moved in and they are finally accepted but in my younger years they wouldn't have been. the entire community seemed to be shut off f/ change.

I think may be it does . I grew up in a very conserative house hold. I myself have some rather conservative ideas. But, I also know a few people who grew up much the same way. But, they wound up doing some things that were not conservative. So, I think for the most part, it does work that way, with a few exceptions.

Sure and where I live it doesn't even have to do with religion and such... it's all about what town you are in - apparently that either makes you breaks you... which is ridiculous.
