I am a Final Fantasy 12 addict. They seriously outdid themselves with this one. I mean, after my X/X-2 upset, I never thought I'd actually pick up a controller and play a Final Fantasy again. I heard good thing about 12, and I was rather pleased with this game. All the sidequests/hunts and bosses makes the game more challenging and enjoyable. The story, world, and characters are just amazing. There isn't a single character I disliked in this game.
My question, any Final Fantasy XII fans out there? I'm DYING to talk XII with someone.

i absolutely love all final fantasy series. All of them are my favourites. The funniest and amazing graphics is FF9, i absolutely love FFX. I dont quite like FFX-2. I am playing FFXII now but i think the best is still FF7, FFX and FF8 although FF8 was quite hard.

People either love XII or hate it, but I'm okay with the game. I agree that the hunts add some challenge to the game as well as the optional esper fights, though getting to the right areas for those can be a chore sometimes. You can't denying the two fights against Gilgamesh with the remix of 'Battle on the Big Bridge' playing in the background.
That said, I had a really hard time getting into XII's story, I dunno why. I'll probably try to understand it in a second runthrough, but it never really captivated me.

12 was alright. the new battle system was by far the best thing they did. by doing that they also made a slew of other spells useful that were previously useless. Float for example, Float is one of the most useful spells in 12 because you can run over all the traps and not take a hit.
Gambits were a nice idea too.
all around, ff12 was a good game. but the story still falls short in some areas. and being an rpg, that is not a good thing. ff7, ff8 and ffx had great storylines (I haven't played 9 yet myself but I've heard that also has an amazing storyline).

I was uber excited for XII, I pre-ordered the collectors edition and picked it up day one. In two days I put in 15 hours and I took it back. Fran and Balthair were awesome characters and the graphics were beautiful, but I completely felt no connection to the story. After 15 hours I had no clue why I cared about what I was doing. The battle system was awesome, but without a story that hooked me, I couldnt deal with another 40+ hours of battles. Heres hopin for either FF VI remake on PS3 or an awesome FF XIII

I absolutely loved FF12. Square Enix outdid themselves this time! I loved the new battle system (no more random encounters), the hunts were awesome, and the graphics were simply beautiful. My favorite character was Balthier. What a charmer!

Love it to bits, just a bit upset that theres no mini-game to keep me playing now I've done the majority of things (8 had cards, 10 had Blitzball, etc)
