it may be a catch and as the wicketkeeper comes to catch it he drops it off and so it hits the helmet where you get 5 runs .when it hits the helmet the force of the ball becomes more and it leads to a four as soon as it reaches the boundary, the umpire would raise his hand everyone will think that he raises it for a four but it would be a no ball so the player gets 10 runs from 1 ball.an otherway which could only be possible by a few cricketers like M.KAIF AND YUVARAJ Iis to hit the ball high in the air to the wicketkeeper and run five runs before it reaches the ground.the opponent would aim to catch the ball and drop it and consequently it hits the helmet.

Sounds like school boys cricket. They keep running with out any knowledge of any rules!

5 runs for Helmet obstruction is a penalty which is not added to the Batsman's score.

If the Ball has crossed the boundary by way of a 4 or a 6 or an over throw then the ball is not in play any longer.

Hence you can get 10 runs to the batsman's credit from a legal ball is only by way of silly overthrows as already explained in an earlier answer!!

The helmet rule is right - if the ball hits a helmet left on the field by the fielding side, the batting side is awarded five runs.

However it is difficult for the ball to go for six after hitting the helmet which would presumably be on the ground.

So, it could be this way: The batsmen run 5 runs themselves; then when the fielders throw the ball, it hits the helmet on the ground.

Or it can be an overthrow. The batsmen run 6 runs themselves; then the fielders throw the ball out of the boundary.

Easy ...they run six and an overthrow of four...

of they can run 10....

FYI ....played in game where the ball got stuck in a branch that was hanging over the ground...the batsmen ran 21 runs before running out of breath. The fielders were throwing shoes at the overhanging branch to get the ball back...it landed the game went on...

Hit the ball, run 3, fielder overthrows, run 3 more, fielder overthrows again, the ball goes to the boundary for a 4. Total 10 runs in 1 legal ball

It can be possible by helmet rule
OR
if the blower over pitches the ball and the batsmen score3 runs and again batsmen scores 3 runs due to over throw and again a over throw and it reaches the boundary than in 1 legal ball we can get 10 runs

Ya the helmet rule is right thatif the ball hits the helmet. It is called RAN and awards 5 runs to the batsman.
It is very difficult for the ball to go to the six after hitting the helmet.
Else it is impossible or with the help of overthrow runs

I don't remember exactly but I think there is one way. Suppose the wicket keeper or may be any other fielder has kept his helmet on the ground. If the ball hits the helmet and goes for six, he gets extra 4 or 5 runs (I dont remember) and that way one ball 10 - 11 runs. It's surely possible.
