A friend wants to marry a young Asian girl, simply so she will get this company pension on this death, he is 65 years old & lives abroad from UK. No love just [not to waste his pension, so he says!] Will the company allow this without investigation?

65 is too early to think about the death. I'm that age right now and all I can think of is sex. Maybe your friend is not telling you the truth. Frankly his reason for marrying a young Asian girl are not convincing to me.

This happens quite often. And yes it can happen, after all who has to declare love to marry? It is not right in one way I agree, but on the other hand this man has been paying all his working life into a pension fund and it belongs to him so I suppose he thinks why should it go to waste (or back to the company) when another person might benefit from it.

I think your friend should talk to his personnel dept. and see if they have a beneficiary form that he can complete to leave this to the lady or do so in his will. Marriage sounds a little extreme just so she can get the pension.

I think he is making a wonderful gesture in spreading some western wealth to the rest of the world...

well I don't see what it has to do with the company? If that's his partner or so he tells them then I don't see why she cant have it he worked all his life to earn that pension so its up to him who gets it.........i would have thought.

well she must have a visa first....if she is after her green card then they better get sorting stuff out...why would he want to do that anyway?...does he have children?...if he does then he could leave his pension to them....i find this a little bit confusing
