I'm sorry to hear about the loss of your son. An incompetent cervix can play a part in that.
I doubt the birth control was an issue. I got pregnant while on BC pills and didn't stop taking them until I saw the positive pregnancy test.

Since you know the gender, you must have been pretty far along.(?) There are medical conditions that can cause miscarriage. I have APS and am at high risk for them, particularly after the 1st trimester, when most people's risk decrease.

I did get pregnant while on birth control and had one miscarriage, but now I am pregnant also while on the patch and everything is going the way it should. Maybe the incompetent cervic played a part in the loss of your son, which I am sorry to hear about.

My doctor told me to wait at least 3 months to get pregnant after being on birth control ot having a miscarriage but a lot of people on here don't seem to follow that rule. I don't know what the harm would be...I just do what I'm told =)

I got pregnant three years ago when I was on the pill and I had a miscarriage at 8 weeks. I do not know if that is the reason....but it is deffinitly a possibility.

P.S. I am really sorry to hear about your loss.

An incompatent cervix has nothing to do with being on birth control.
