Why do men get away with more sex, but women would be considered sluts?

I dont understand, (and its been like this for ages) that women get the harder beating if they sleep with many guys, but when men sleep with a lot of women, they are congradulated! Shouldnt they be considered ho*** as well?
What do you think? And why? Details please.

You're right about the biased labels , women receive as opposed to men.
Even the label I've heard attached to a man who has sex with large numbers of women, is in reality a slam on women. "Whoremongers"

What do I think? I don't think about men or women who engage in active
sex-lifes with multiple partners - deserving of such labels that are meant to demoralize, or de-humanize a person's worth. But what I do think is that
sex can become an addiction. Not unlike drugs or alcohol, gambling or shopping. And once a person crosses that line and enters into a pattern of addictive behaviours; they begin risking their own lives. An addiction which takes the person's life over, and interferes on many levels with a person's ability to maintain enough balance and control in their life. And the addiction begins to affect their other relationships, or progresses into a more deviant and dangerous behaviour and lifestyle; then it has the capability to destroy that person's life - regardless if that person is a man or a woman.

This is the society we live in. That type of thought is not as bad as it once was. Honestly I don't care how many men some girl sleeps with as long as they don't care how many women I've been with.

The thing that should be important to people is who their other is sleeping with now. If the answer is you and only you then there is no need to know anything else about how many people someone has slept with.

If you are single then why would it mater how many people you are sleeping with? If you want to sleep with a different guy every day then do it. I would just consider you a little more freaky than that average girl I meet.

It just means you have more sexual drive than others.

Different cultures have different mores.

Do you know that in some cultures women have multiple husbands (polyandry) and that in the Highlands of New Guinea I, as a teacher, had something of a problem with schoolgirls (over16 I must emphasise) knocking on my window every night to come in. Apart from the obvious conflict of interest (as a teacher mind you - as just a tourist it might have been different) I simply couldn't have one come in. ALL the other girls would have been jealous!

The fellows in the Highlands are bound by their mores not to have promiscuous sex. Quite honestly they thought that if they did their ***** might fall off. At least their family and dead ancestors would give them a shocking hard time.

I believe that women enjoy sex more than men and that Paulian Christianity is largely to blame for prejudice against women.

If a lady can handle the useless insults of the bigots they should enjoy sex when they like.

That is what you call "double standard of morality." It is especially true in some countries where men are considered superior to women. Such unwritten rule was usually brought about by the culture of the people and which they find it hard to break away from. Here in the U.S., that does not exist at all. Thank God! We are lucky to be in this great country where women enjoy the same rights and privileges as men and women are considered men's equal. That is one of the reasons why I love America.

Well what i think is that people see it as if women who sleep with lots of guys are abusing their bodies. why its not like that for men i dont know.

but think of it this way isnt it other females that put the label of "hoe" on other girls? I mean thats how it's always been here.

I see it as your body is something that God blessed you with and that he gave you a mind to think and a heart to feel with so your able to do whatever it is you feel with your body. whether that be save it for the one you love or let many enjoy. (maybe not a good choice of words there)

sex should be something that you only have with someone you feel a deep connection with.

A double standard. Could be a type of jealosy. My x-wife used to say 'with one of these I can get as many of those as I want'. It's easier for a woman to get more men than for a man to get more women.

Hey I would gladly accept the name of whore if it meant I could get it more often lol. And unless the guy is bragging who is congratulating him? Regardless of whether you sleep with little or a lot you should still be discreet. Sex is supposed to be a special secret between two people. Note I said TWO people. Not a special secret between one guy and 10 girls or vice versa. Anyway, I'm old fashioned like that so my answer may not help.
