I will be getting gel nails for the first time in a few days, and am wondering if I should trim my natural nails at all in preparation of the artificial nails. They are not all the same length, but is that a problem for gels?

no need to. They will just put the gel over your nails and lengthen the gel until they are all the same length.
If they need to they will. Relax & enjoy being pampered...

Your nail technician will do that for you. You can either trim them short and get tips, or trim them all to a consistent length and apply gel over them.

in case you do settle on to get acrylics, an finished set is everywhere from $20-$30 and they very last about 2 weeks. in case you want them longer than that, you'll favor to bypass back and get a stability. that's the position they fill in the position your nails have grown out. the way it truly works is they glue assistance on them they have the powder that they blend with acetone them structure it on your nail. it would not damage except some human beings imagine the filing does because they do ought to record style of not straightforward. once you're taking them off, your nails will be skinny and they are going to peel and that's painful. also because you've not in any respect had pretend nails, i'd not get them too lengthy because you'll locate it complicated to do standard issues. yet in the accurate, in case you want exceedingly, stylish nails, bypass for it :)
