I am not sure what to do. My hubby and I got a new puppy because he wanted one. I didn't want it but I let him get it anyways. He is already attached to him but it is driving me crazy. I know he is just a puppy but he poops and pees in the floor and chews up EVERYTHING in site. He is an expensive dog so while he is young we cannot keep him outside because someone might steal him. We are fixing to move and the people living around us won't want to hear him bark and I don't want to get kicked out of this nice place but I don't want to have him inside and try and and take care of the newborn we are expecting too. What am I supposed to do because it seems there is no compromise here.

Well, have a serious chat with your hubby and tell him exactly what you have told us here. If still contineus to want to have the puppy, then the least he could do is to help clear the mess and deal with the neighbours objections.

All the best!/

Train the dog. All the problems you listed are behavioral, and can be corrected. I had a lab puppy in a small apartment and went through the same stuff as you. Get some bitter apple for stuff he chews on, this will put a bad taste in his mouth and he'll stop chewing.

As for house training, you have to take the dog outside on a regular schedule, and praise him when he goes potty outside. Feed him on a schedule too, and plan to walk him about 30 minutes after he eats. Get the puppy pads for inside the apartment, and if he has an accident, put his nose right next to it, and then take him over to the pad and praise him. He'll start to associate the praise with the pad.

You'll be okay, just take your time and be patient. Having a puppy is like having a kid. You have to teach them what is right.

And make him do the training too, because it sounds like you're doing the work.
