If this happens all the time make sure all the wires are plugged in correctly and you are using the correct hookups from your player to your tv. You didn't say if you were using a sound system or not. The solution could be as simple as going into the DVD menu and changing the audio options from 5.1 to stereo. That is the most common problem (i worked in a video store). If you do have a sound system make sure it is set up correctly, for the whatever the output is on the DVD

Play a DVD on what? Your PC, DVD player? More info would be helpful!

If you mean on your tv, it's usually a loose scart lead somewhere. Check them out and push them in properly and see if it makes a difference.

happens to me all the time just fiddle about with the scart lead at the back of you tv, probably a loose connection. good luck.

it might be your scart lead isnt plugged in or if you have multi scart pull the other leads out i dont get sound if my ps2 is plugged in at the same time

if your downloading you need to install divx codec on your pc,i had the same prob this is what the cause was for me.hope this has helped.if this isnt the problem i have not got a clue.lol.x

have you got speakers attached to the player? or perhaps turn the volume up.

you wont get no sound if its a downloaded .avi file. it will be video only

to get sound you'll need a prog, divX. that should sort it
